I love when companies get creative. Gizmodo reported that in order to help reduce its carbon footprint, Samsung will start using packaging made from eco-friendly corrugated cardboard for its higher-end TVs. The cardboard is perforated with a dot matrix pattern. Scanning a QR code on the boxes with a mobile device grants access to instruction manuals for turning the cardboard into an adorable cat house (or magazine racks, shelving, and end tables, but honestly, I stopped reading at “cat  house.”)

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, I offered some suggestions on how to short-circuit worrisome “what if” thoughts, on Monday, Dr. Lynn Bahr answered reader questions, on Tuesday, we reviewed the Hide ‘n Sneak Paper Tunnel, on Wednesday, we discussed slicker brushes, on Thursday, we reviewed Raw Paws treats, and on Friday, we ran the first in a three part series about what it’s like to feed community cats during the pandemic.

You may have already seen the video of a weatherman working from home whose cat “helped” with the forecast. Betty has become a big star – enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
