As parts of the world head into colder months, cats may be looking for warm places to rest. Here are our top tips to help keep them comfortable:
- Provide a warm washable blanket on a bed, chair or sofa they like to use
- Provide warm blankets in sunny locations or near warm places at home
- If you think your cat could get into it easily enough, use a radiator hammock – remember to keep the radiator on a low setting to prevent burns
- Position beds above floor level and away from draughts
- Offer covered beds (such as igloo-style beds) to help keep the warmth in
- For older cats, position ramps, steps and platforms to help them reach their favourite areas.
